Scarf The Water Lilies

Scarf The Water Lilies (Les Nymphéas) was designed after the idea of the French artist Claude Monet (1840 -1926). In the 1890s Monet had a colourful garden with a pond laid out in front of his studio in Giverny, and in this way he constantly found new inspiration for his beloved motif.

The water of the pond is depicted smoothly in idealistic shades of blue and purple. Swaying water plants, leaves and the motivating lilies are processed as generous faint lines in green, yellow and red colours.
