An Art Nouveau sculpture based on the famous artwork by Gustav Klimt (1862-1918). 'The Expectation' is one of the three panels of the Fries that was painted by Klimt around 1905-1909 for his customers, the Stoclets. The original is located in Vienna's Museum für angewandte Kunst.

Klimt mainly focussed on mosaic techniques and gold colours, this clearly shows in the exotic sculpture of the girl.
