The Calla Lily: A Flower of Light

Today, 18 June 2026
The calla lily’s spathe symbolises beauty.... The calla lily comes in many colours: white, yellow, orange, pink, red, lilac, purple and even black. Thanks to its sleek, elegant spathe and tropical appearance, the calla lily is known as a truly ‘exotic’ eye-catcher.

The Calla range is in high demand at Art Deco Webshop. In response to popular demand, Coloured by Art© has also designed glass goblets that can be combined with the more classic models.

In Art Nouveau (also known as Jugendstil), the Calla was a popular motif. The elongated flower is a perfect match for this art movement, which is known for its organic, flowing lines.

Thanks to their clean lines and elegance, Callas can be beautifully incorporated into a modern interior. The designers at Coloured by Art© chose to create a special spotlight because the Calla glass flower is very narrow.

The calyx must, as it were, ‘flow seamlessly’ into the spotlight’s grip cap and fit precisely at the fixture’s connection point. This is how the intended slender effect is achieved. Stunning! The flower lamps are luxurious and, thanks to their minimalist look, pair beautifully with sleek furniture and industrial elements. A special fabric cord has also been designed for the Calla.

The new asymmetrical Calla light flowers are available in three colours: Red/orange, Yellow/orange and Purple/blue.

The colours are perfectly matched to the shades of the Calla ceiling light, Calla wall light and Calla pendant lights. Due to the narrow opening of the Calla calyx, a small ‘tool’ has also been included in the box to secure the glass.

Keep an eye on our website! We expect the lamps to be in stock from July.
