Porcelain Jar with Paws 'The Herons'

Special pot with two herons coming together. The legs on which the pot stands are extra nice.

The earth tones of green and ocher yellow are characteristic of the Art Nouveau style. The herons sit majestically along the waterfront. Whiplash-style gingko leaves complete the refined artwork.

Inspired by an original design by Plateelbakkerij Haga in Purmerend. The famous ceramists Bert Nienhuis (1873-1960), Chris Lanooy (1881-1948) and Chris van der Hoef (1875-1933) designed for Haga, among others.
