The Japanese draughtsman Gesso Yoshimoto (1881-1936) created, among other things, woodblock prints, which were given a new look by adding elements from European impressionism.
Gesso was known for the use of beautiful bright colours and detailed precision: as can be seen on these ceramic tea lights. The tea lights each have a unique design, which together form a beautiful whole. A dreamy swallow is surrounded by enchanting flora and fauna. Comes with a brochure about the artist.
