'Danaë' is a symbolic work of art by Gustav Klimt and it was made in 1907. Danaë was a popular topic at the start of the 20th century because she symbolises perfect love and transcendence.
Different shades of lilac and salmon were woven into the tapestry's fabric and it also displays charming accents of lurex (gold thread).
