It is difficult to precisely describe the mysterious green colour of Celadon ceramics. The enigmatic colour is created by the particles of iron in the glaze and by not letting in as much oxygen when the item is baking. This vase has been painted beautifully with lotus flowers and butterflies. A fine craquelure can also be discovered in the glaze.
