Between two fires. Chris Lanooy 1881-1948. At the start of the 20th century, Chris Lannoy developed from an earthenware painter into Holland's first, independent ceramist of artistic earthenware. He created vases and bowls by hand and finished them off with the most stunning glazes that he developed himself. When it comes to glass art, he also made his mark by designing both serial products and unicum for Leerdam's glass factory. He even designed patterns for wallpaper and damask.
A richly illustrated monograph.
