This set is a design by architect Josef Hoffmann (1870-1956).
The construction (stained black with clear knowledge of and feel for Japanese art), the wooden connections and arched forms are typical of Hoffmann's stylistic features.
It is delivered with two armchairs and one coffee table.
The chairs are lined with a refined, striped fabric and their main colour is olive green. The foot of the table is framed by a shiny chrome, decorative edge and the tabletop is covered by a decorative fabric on which a glass plate is placed.
The set is interesting as a separate seat in, for instance, a study/music/meeting room or as a dining room seat. Enjoy these pieces of furniture with a cup of tea or a glass of wine!
Chairs: Height 47 cm, Width 53 cm, Depth 46 cm.

These pieces were designed specifically for the famous Design/wonder cabaret "Fledermaus" which took place in Vienna in 1907. Fritz Waerndorfer was a gentleman with a lot of money and good taste. He ordered the Wiener Werkstätte to build a cabaret. Furniture designers, ceramists, silversmiths, lamp designers and graphic artists all worked together to create the untraditional Gesamtkunstwerk.
