This woven tapestry has gold thread (lurex) which gives it a chic mysterious appeal. The intertwined mermaids (the piece of art is also called the Water snakes) depict the mythological theme of Eros and Thanatos: love and ecstasy should be maintained forever. The piece is based on Gustav Klimt's original which was painted between 1903 and 1907.

The backside is lined with beige cotton and it has a tunnel so it can easily be hung on a wall.
